Limited Edition Fine Art Prints - What are they?
As the name suggests, a limited edition print is one that will only be produced at a specified number. As the artwork decreases in the availability it becomes more scarce and more valuable. Serious art collectors prefer limited editions since they desire a unique piece of art for their collection that not many other people also own.
Open edition prints are the most commonly sold by photographers since there is no limit to the number of prints that could produce from one particular image. Although I have sold open edition prints in the past, I have come to accept the fact my customers want the investment they make in purchasing my images to be protected by knowing there will only be a limited number of each photograph ever produced. Thus, I will now only sell limited edition prints. Once a photograph has met its production limit of 100, it will be retired and never produced again. To assure my customers they are getting an original Henke Imagery limited edition print, I will embed a small digital signature along with the print edition number. Addtionally, for extra authenticity, a hand-signed Certificate of Authenticity will be shipped to you separately.
What is a Certificate of Authenticity?
The Certificate is an official document that proves your photograph is genuine and authentic. It will assure you that the artwork you purchased is a an original print captured and produced by me into a fine art print. The Certificate of Authenticity will include a small thumbnail of the image purchased, the date and location where the photo was captured, the size purchased, and the limited edition number. Finally, the Certificate will be hand signed, dated, and will include a serialize hologram.
> Customer Service - As with any purchase where a large investment is made, a customer needs the reassurance they are getting a quality item. Choosing quality artwork is a big investment, both emotionally and financially. I want to assure you I will help you any way I can to make your purchase a great experience.
> Quality - As you probably can tell, I am passionate about creating great images! To that end, I hold the print makers and shippers to high standards of professionalism. If your artwork is damaged or not up to your expectations, please let me know immediately. My greatest sense of accomplishment is knowing someone takes great pleasure in displaying my photographs in their home or office. Thus, your complete satisfaction is my number one goal.
